| Want to speed up performance in SWAT3? | ||
|
Found a very interesting post talking about increasing the game's performance by 10~20%. What it does it that it cuts out the process of having the game decompress the ".res" files and change it to direct access, and therefore cuts down load time. You can read about the post Here. |

I found this on SWAT3 Online, it is an article from GameProWorld comparing Rogue Spear, SWAT 3, Delta Force 2, and Spec Ops 2. SWAT 3 came out 2nd due to lack of multiplayer, just a tag behind Rogue Spear, you should check it out. |

AndOne from Suppressivefire.net Sent this in: Today on Combat Reporter Live Ron Fung (producer of Swat 3) talks about his first-person tactical police simulation. During the interview he talked about the background of swat, what is was like to work with Swat members, AI, and scenarios of the game. He hinted that Multiplayer will be in a Add-On and not a free patch. |

Microsoft has released the new and improved version of DirectX, DirectX 7A. Voodoo Extreme mentions that its important to keep in mind that the DirectInput drivers are the ONLY files updated in this version and they will change to build 0716 when this download is installed. | How to Mod SWAT 3 | ||
|
Reading through the forums, we have found people wondering how to mod SWAT 3. Here is something you should try. Go to your swat3 folder and you will see "swatdata1.res" and "swatdata2.res". Rename those to .zip files and you can open them with Winzip and look at all the files inside. Hope this help =) |

According th PC Gamer Jan 2000 issue, SWAT 4 is now confirmed by producer of Swat 3, Rod Fung. Little information is known right now but the development team is planning on using an enhanced version of the Swat 3 engine. |
